My fuel gauge hits solid empty at around 250 miles and stays there, yet I've got my tripometer reading 318 today with no gas light warning yet. Anybody ...

Anybody have any ideas on why this gauge would suddenly be innacurate?

hehee, kick it... that always helps.

i know this wont help much, but my car always reads empty about 1/5 of a tank away from empty. just screwy.

as to why yours may have suddenly quit working right.... only thing i can think of are pure failure and possible climate changes affecting things. i know here it got cold as all hell last weekend and it has been affecting everything from my car starting to my fingers going numb trying to get it to start.

(... like that post helped... sorry)

last time i had a problem like this.. now keep in mind.. it was a 1968 Mustang... it was because my sending unit was bad. If i had a half a tank or less... it would be on empty. Not sure what Honda's fuel getup consists of.. but that was my problem... good luck.
