Here is my problem:

Ight i hooked a VAFC in my car today (00 Civic Coupe with JDM B16A Swap with ODB2-ODB1 conversion) now....

I soldered the wires where they were suppose to go and everything but everytime i shut the car off it resets and goes back to the orginial program....which was a 6 cyl...I need some input...help

Also when i set the Vtec points it doesnt like to change, just likes to go in at 5800, no matter how low or high i set it at...

Ive been told i need a constant 12v source and the ignition wires that i have hooked up are not constant, while that might be one solution, i still need some expertice on this subject...thanks guys

Have you dyno'd to show any power gains? I thought the VTEC points from Honda were just about where they should be to get the most HP. Least I know they are for the D series, donno about the B's.

Well the reason i got the VAFC in the first place was to lower my vtec points mainly because when i get into 1st then to 2nd i drop out of power band for a quick second and i know thats keeping me down. So i lowered vtec point to about 4700. Right now i do feel the car runs better with some minor adjustment. But once the dyno at school gets up and running, she will be fully tuned..

You shouldn't be dropping from 8k down below 4700 I wouldn't think...try shifting faster?

haha, its cause of the longer gearing in my V4D GSR "VTECH" trannsmission haha, its hard sometimes to stay in powerband. Sometimes it will do it if i smack it off the limiter, but i really dont wanna be doing that. But its like border line...i will shift at 8400 and then it will jump down to 5400 - 5600. But now my problem is solved.

Dub you didnt read it right, before the vafc i would drop outta powerband, now its all gravy
