I've been thinking about removing my power steering from my EG EX lately. To reduce weight and so I can run a pulley that just drives the alternator and free up some HP (A/C is already gone). I read in SCC that you can just remove the line and plug the hole but have no clue where to get a plug or what kind to use. Anyone have any info on this? Oh and I have driven a manual steering cars so yes I know what to expect.

Its easy. all you have to do is unbolt the pump from the front of the head and then cut the line right steering rack (Just follow the line until it reaches the end) and cut it there, and then to get the rest of the P/S fluid out turn your steering wheel a couple times then your set. Its not hard at all. But i warn you. I would unbolt the P/S pump and leave the fitting and line intach incase one day you plan on selling the car. Cause people look for those kinda accessories. Keep all your A/C stuff too.

No it isn't, I have both. When I swapped engines I chose not to put it in but I still have the whole setup in case I want to autocross someday.

Thanks guys was always wondering about that... does anyone know of the "shortest" steering rack, or a rack that turns the fastest from lock to lock.
