Discuss the Exedy clutch w/ Fidanza flywheel??? thread at the General Tech forums at the CivicLand Honda Civic Forums.
Just wondering if a Fidanza aluminum flywheel would go with an Exedy Organic Single Plate Full Face Clutch? Also, that Exedy clutch kit is pretty decent and will be alright ...

Just wondering if a Fidanza aluminum flywheel would go with an Exedy Organic Single Plate Full Face Clutch?
Also, that Exedy clutch kit is pretty decent and will be alright for a 55 shot of nitrous won't it?
Or would a XACT Streetlite flywheel be better and would it fit with the Exedy clutch?

Fidanza flywheel - $275
XACT flywheel - $197
Exedy clutch - $242

Thanks for any info.

I've got all act in my new rex but I havn't had it out of the garage to test it all out yet. I might have answer for you soon though.

As far as being good enough for a 55 shot of nitrous?
I hope you don't plan on shifting while shooting that shit?!

Maybe I just mis-understood ya. ( I'm not the brightest, lol )

later.

It doesn't matter which clutch or flywheel you go with since they are stock replacement items. I prefer the ACT clutch over the Exedy, but for a moderate setup, Exedy is a pretty good clutch especially for the price difference. As far as the flywheel, you will get mixed answers about if aluminum (Fidanza and others) or Chrome-Moly (ACT and others) is better. I have installed 2 fidanza flywheels and they have worked out great. I have also done a ACT streetlite and have had no complaints about it. For my own vehicle I just ordered the ACT prolite, which is close to the same weight as the Fidanza. So long story short, you will be happy with whatever flywheel you choose, but I would go with the prolite over the streetlite if you do decide to take the ACT route.

well how about this. i want to spray this summer because its the cheapest way to go fast. and next week i am going to buy the fidanza aluminum 7lb flywheel you can get off of ebay for $230. but. i need a clutch that i can drive daily without hassle and can handle the abuse of nitrous. any suggestions? i guess im wondering if act is the only way to go. because of price, it turns me off a little.

If you are looking to save a few bucks, I have heard of a lot of happy people with the organic disc Exedy clutch.
