Okay, here are a couple of pics of a pipe that gets overlooked when checking for vacuum leaks. When I installed my B16 a few months back it had a horrible idle that would bounce from 1000 to 1500rpm which was caused by a vacuum leak coming from a pipe sticking into the #1 cylinder intake runner (closest to the drivers fender). The pipe is gold, but in the pic it has a rubber cap on it with a wire tie. After I capped it, it idled fine. So check it out, because obviously idle problems are very common with swaps.

Compare the top pic to this bottom pic. See the different spots? They both seem to be problem areas.
![]() Brian, I looked at mine and I've got barely none of the lines hooked up. It's amazing that the thing starts and idles as good as it does. If someone could pm me some really really detailed pics of the engine bay (like this one) I need to know were all the wires/hoses should go. I'm sooo lost. I need to rout and re-rout untill this thing runs. Thanks. Sam - |

Sam, I'll try to get some pics for you up tomorrow evening, but if your running a turbo I can't help with the rest of the lines on that part. Can you pm me your email so I don't have to upload them and store them on imagestation?
