When I started the rex, the idle was freakin' insane. After re-working some vacuum lines and what not, I was able to get it to finally steady out.

The running idle is now at like 800Rs wich is pretty good, however, when the motor "warms up" the idle then begins to fluxuate (800-1,500rpm)

The only thing I can think of is the idle air unit. I don't think that's what it is though.
We noticed that were the map sensor plugs in, there appears to be (2) there.
Yup . . (2) map sensors! You read it right!
The one is plugged in to the harness with a vac line coming from the bottom to no where. I still don't know were to run that one. The other box what I'm assuming is the other map sensor says Denso on it.
It's just kind of sitting in there connected only by a factury T'd vac. line that goes to nothing.

I'm still lost, lol

Any hints would be appreciated. It's finally coming along.

Thanks!!!

this is prolly a stupid question, but would some sort of previous turbo setup require two map sensors? i just cant think of any other reason to have two.

Sounds like Idle control valve.. Just replaced it on my car when it was doing the same thing.. Though its a differant car its a similar problem

other ideas

Is your timing correct????
vacume leaks???
TPS adjusted right???

Can you get a pic of the two map sensors???

How well does the car rev? (meaning how well does it respond to minor throttle blips)

And the tps and map sensor look pretty sililar and even share the same kinda harness clip.. So if one of those supossed map sensors is on the side of the throttle body its actually the tps.
