Hey people.

Your going to goto school on my ass for this one, but here goes anyway.

Ive just installed central locking, which is working sweet.

Then i got the alarm shock sensor in, ground wire secured.
then Acc line and Flasher (blinker) wires in, Brake light and siren wires in.
power line and fuses all done.

Lastly im left with a ENGINE CUT OFF relay.
the wiring diagram shows installation for a engine with a coil.

HOWEVER - im installing this alarm in the girls mitsubishi mirage (not sure if they are called them in the states) anyway its a 2dr hatch 1.5L injected setup, typical chicks car.

as i was saying, this motor doesnt have a external coil as such.

any ideas where to put this cut off relay ? i was thinking starter motor ???

cheers

You could use it for the starter wire or even the fuel pump wire. Basically any power source that is needed to drive the car could be used to deter a thief if interrupted. Just remember to have a high enough current of a relay for what it is being used for.

Figured it out , there are a bunch of wires hidden on the under side of the dizi.
i tested those and found a suitable power line to motor.

cheers
