So my radiator has some nasty bent fins, and has a little leak that i stopped temporarily with that additive crap. It fixed it for a few months, but the leak came back, so I decided to buy a new one. I seached on google.com and found some OEM and aftermarket ones for around 100 shipped, sounded good. Then i checked on ebay and found Koyo ones for wayyy too much (except a few freak auctions for 100 ) , and i found :

Koyo, not sure if i needed that much more cooling....

I realllly debated on getting this because its all aluminum, with a 2" core, but i didnt know of the quality ?? OR if I even needed that much more cooling.... (no swap right now )

SO...
I decided on this one, is it any good ??? ( supposedly 2 row with no plastic end tanks, and better cooling )

Thanks,
JDK

Oh yeah, it will be here next week, so i can tell ya how it goes in, and post a DIY !

Well it got here like last tuesday, and i installed it the next day. It was definately thicker than my orignal and with metal endtanks and clean welds. Flushed and filled my old system with Water Wetter, and GM Dexcool 5/150 coolant, runs cooler than ever !!!!

Agreed, there have been many reported problems with dexcool in gm cars. corroded and clogged radiators and radiator caps and radiator hoses, eroded water pumps, leaky gaskets, chronic overheating/engine damage. And these cars are suppose to be designed to use dexcool. You've heard it a thousands times, if it aint broke dont fix it.

Whoops ?! , oh well , it's in there now. And it was broke ! , the radiator had a huge leak, so i replaced it, and flushed the coolant. I have never heard of all the problems with Dexcool, i'll check it out. And if it is that bad, i'll just flush it and refill with the crappy stuff towards summer time.

EDIT: I just read alot of complaints with the Dexcool, that i'm just gonna flush it tommorow !!

There is currently three different class action lawsuits against the big 3 manufacturers because of the damage done by dexcool. One things for sure if you want to find a leak in your cooling system, just run dexcool through it, the shit pours out of even the smallest of leaks, and then to top that off it eats gaskets and anything aluminum. Just my $.02
