My tires suck balls and have like no tread left. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good all season tire? I need better handling in the snow. Last winter I couldn't move my car because the tires were slipping on the snow. I don't have rims, I have stock wheel covers. Looking for size 185/65/15. The tires I have now are Firestone tires that came with the car.
Edit: I'm looking at Kuhmo's but I don't know if there is a place around here that carrries them. Toyo tires are easily accessable to me. Does anyone know anything about them? Edit again:I found a place that sells Kumho's, but the supra 712 doesn't come in 185/65 Next try...does anyone know anything about Falken? Really all I want is a good tire to get me thru till next summer when hopefully I will have enough $$ saved to get some rims. |

205/50/15's should fit fine in your wheelwell as long as the factory wheels are wide enough. No matter what I would at least go down to a 55 or 60 series tire.

You might try looking at 195/60/15 and 205/60/15. Both are very close to your stock size in diameter- the 195 is 6mm smaller, and the 205 is 6mm taller. It's less than a 1% difference.
185/65/15 = 621.5mm 195/60/15 = 615mm 205/60/15 = 627mm Since you're going to play in the snow, a thinner tire is better for you. I looked some up just because I like you so much ![]() and this is what came up for some of the ones I've heard good things about. Keep in mind that I don't really care about all season, so some of these might not work for you. Yokohama Avid H4 : 185/65/15 : $52 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes ![]() Bridgestone Potenza RE950 : 185/65/15 : $71 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes ![]() Dunlop SP Sport A2 : 185/65/15 : $58 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes ![]() Yokohama ES100 : 195/60/15 : $70 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes ![]() Sumitomo HTR200 : 195/60/15 : $41 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes ![]() Sumitomo SRIXON4 : 195/60/15 : $42 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes ![]() |

205/50/15 is more than one whole inch too short for her car.
