mike this is mostly for you but i wanted to post it up just in case anyone else had any valuable input.
As some of you know i bought mikes old HX wheels.. well they've been on for a while so i finally take the car out for a ride today and im hearing a rubbing noise.. so i figure it's just the JDM rust coming off the rotors from sitting so long.. i get out to make sure and playing with the etg and i noticed the driver side caliper is hitting the the rim width wise (not circumference wise) but i go around to the pass side and there's like a half pinky of space.. any idea why one might be rubbing and the other not? any idea how to fix it? |

Not all Civics are symmetrical...
Most of the time, you have to grind the calipers a bit when you use HX wheels on an EX. You might want to do that- just take a hand file to it and grind down the surface some. There's plenty of material, so you don't have to worry TOO much. Just don't use power tools to do it. Some people have used wheel spacers- you can get away with that if you only use one that's 2mm thick (if that's enough, should be). Any more and you'll have to replace your lugs with something longer. I would suggest just grinding the calipers a bit. |

Yeah- it's the "accepted method" for getting HX wheels to clear on an EX.
