what year is your b20? I got a '00 block into my '99 civic just to be safe. they aren't very strict about that stuff here in texas

It's not the fact that he has a b20...its the fact that its a b20 vtec. Although, even getting a straight b20 can be difficult, because you need the LS intake manifold and ECU for it...they don't match the engine.

True- but you can still fit the B20Z manifold on there.

As for ECU check- I'm running a P72 with Hondata, so they might not check that. I'm not planning on moving to Cali any time soon though.

since the referee will smog mY CAR my car no longer has the aftermarket parts IT LOOKS COMPLETLY STOCK WITHT THE EXEption of the b20VTEC IM STILL RUNNING My stock s.i ecu i have no check lights so i shouldNT HAVE A PROB WITH THE SMOG im going to the referee monday and get a long extension

He probably thinks you have a stock motor. When he sees you have a B20 block with a VTEC head, it's gonna raise a red flag. These guys are not idiots, they know their shit...trust me, I've been to the REF before.
