Hey guys, I'm in a fix here. Running a B16A with looks to be fuel problems. It has run super for about 2 weeks, then I put some octane booster in it, and it is bogging down really bad. I always run 93 octane in it. The guy I bought the car from said it bogged down on him when he put some bad gas in it once. This has been going on for a week - absolutely zero throttle response.
Have I ruined the fuel filter? Am I getting too much gas into the mix, or not enough, or is it just bad? Right now, I know nothing about fuel management for this engine. I guess I am still running the DX fuel pump for this engine - not sure if that is smart or not. Do you have any ideas? I know I am going to go with a new AEM fuel rail, and maybe some aftermarket injectors (staying at 240 cc), which, then, would only make sense to get a new pump and fuel pressure regulator, but I'm not looking for anything to drool over - just needing an upgrade that's affordable. Can you help? Also, do you know if USDM DOHC si motor has the identical fuel filter as B16A?[i]
