This morning I was driving my 97 civic coupe dx and heard a clunking noise along with LOUD engine noise underneath my car. I pulled over and looked underneath my car and saw that the front of catalyc converter(welding part) is detached from the exhaust pipe.
So, I was wondering if it would be cheaper to get OEM exhaust system at a muffler shop or order a cat back exhaust from ebay and try to install it myself. I heard it's a direct bolt-on and easy to install. Would I need a car-lift? Or is my jack ok? I was looking at some cat-back's on ebay and some of them say "92-95 all, 96-00 EX only" and others say "92-00 all" Is there a difference between EX exhaust system and DX exhaust system? Thanks in advance. |
