Well I started to notice my brakes feeling spongy and less responsive the past few weeks, and i've tried adding fluid and bleeding them. BUT the dangerous part is when i turn my steering wheel all the way to either side, i lose ALL brake pressure and the pedal hits the floor, not safe at all . But when i turn it back like 2-4 inches, pump the brakes a few times it comes back.

I took it to my brothers friend's shop today ( a mechanic, and friend of the family ). He couldnt figure out at all why it would be doing that. We put it on the lift looked underneath, and no problems. The brake lines aren't being pinched, and the brake booster is getting pressure. No brake fluid leaking anywhere. HE suggested bleeding the whole system and putting in new fluid, but he also said that probably wont fix it. He is clueless as to why that would happen ??

I'm about to call a honda dealership and take it in. I was thinking it was kinked brake lines, but its only when the steering wheel is all the way to either side, that this happens ???? I'm really clueless and i have a pretty good knowledge on cars. I have no power steering. And no brake fluid leaking anywhere. ANY CLUES !!!??? to help ???

Thanks alot for any help in advance !

I'm guessing it's a line that opens up to open air when you turn the wheel... but take it to the dealer if you can't figure it out. Having your brakes go out on you if you and your brother can't figure it out is NOT a good thing. Be safe and get it fixed ASAP.

Yeah im thinking what calesta is. Defently a line problem, Because if your booster, master cylinder and all that good stuff has pressure then if you turn the wheel, the line must be loosing pressure somewhere, try this, get in your car turn the wheel and get underneath of it and look to see if you see anything abnormal. only way to tell, with as much money as your gonna pay from honda to have this fixed. Invest in some steel braided brakelines from goodridge and it should solve your problem. But if you dont feel like buying them, take it to honda and have the professionals fix it. Brakes are more important than anything else in your car...

Try pumping the pedal to get some pressure first, and if possible have a friend under the car looking for a leak while you do that. Also check your master cylinder and see if it's still has fluid.

Whoops !? Sorry for late reply, my internet has been down the past week.

Yeah I just bled the entire system with my friend, so there is only new clean fluid in there. Pedal feels better, but still gives out to either side.

Yes, the master cylinder isn't leaking, neither are the lines ?! AND the brake booster holds pressure ( when car is off , the pedal gets really stiff ).

Yeah, i figure i'll just buy some steel braided brake lines and see if that fixes the problem, i wanted to upgrade the lines anyways.

I'll keep ya updated, peace for now !

Yeah , i know, BUT its only when i have the steering wheel completely locked to either side, so in parking lots i'm very careful with a hand on the parking brake !
