JDM B16a with stock internals. DRAG gen. 3 turbo kit. is the ACT HDSS going to handle the power?? i would imagine between 220-240 horses at the wheels after tuning. no turbo yet, but by august it should be boosted. anyhow, just wondering if the HDSS will hold the power, or if i need the HDR4?? any personal experience or info would be helpful. thanks.

Personally go with the stages they have setup, if your thinking from buying from clutchcityonline dont do it. They sell ACT clutch pressure plates with exedy clutch discs. I personally if I had that setup would go with a ACT extreme pressure plate with a 6 puck clutch. Would defently hold all that power. Which I think is either the stage 3 or 4.

So your not gonna build your motor? Just gonna slap a turbo kit on there ehh?

uh yeah, thats the plan. it should make plenty of power for me.

wont the extreme pressure plate be a total biotch daily driven??

options auto salon.

prices seem decent. the HDSS holds what, 245 lb ft of torque?? theres a good chance i will never make that kind of power safely without rebuilding. i dunno. which one would you go with personally?? keeping in mind that the car is a daily driver. any more info would be greatly appreciated.

I would just go with the stage 3. Its def worth it, and you dont have to worry about it grenading on you or anything (unless your a terrible driver)

You will be right at the torque capacity of the HDSS. A lot of people use it with no problems, though. I would prersonally go with the XTSS, it has a very streetable disk, but a stiff pressure plate. You can spend less money and do a HDR4 since it has the exact same torque handling as the XTSS, but I personally would like a full faced disk on a daily driver.

I agree with Andy. I'd go with an xtreme pressure plate, but keep a full faced disc. Pucked clutches are a little harsh for street use, and like to break pucks off.
