I have a 99LS motor anyone know if i need the 13/16" x 21 or the 1" x 24 tool?? And do i really have to use it to take the clutch off. Can't i just hold it up. I know i need it to put it on.

Yea dude, thats why chris' Tranny decided to destroy its 3rd and 4th gear, You REALLY need the Alignment tool, hence why he drove the pink del sol to the meet... :P

I know you need it to put in on, I just don't see why you would need it to take it off,

oh you're taking it off...hmm..Not really too sure if you need it to take it off, but who knows maybe you'll bent something if you take it out crooked.

Andy if you could do that it would be sweet. I just bought 2 of them last night and niether fit. I need the 24 tooth one. I bought a 19 & 21 tooth and neither fit. So if you have a 2 tooth one send it my way. I'll PM you with the info.

smooth, are you planning on using the same OE clutch that came with the motor? If not if you buy an upgraded unit more than likely an alignment tool comes with the kit

Yeah i plan on re-useing the OEM clutch. I took it off last night and the thing it brand new. No markings on the place and disk is really clean. I just spent about $400 on parts and tune up stuff so i'm hoping to beable to have everything ready by summers end. I still need mounts though
