well the other day i was driving to work and my car started vibrating. it was weird. it only does it when im accelerating pretty hard. if im coasting or cruising it feels pretty smooth. although is does make some kind of noise all the time now. the noise id hard to explain. ive had a wheel bearing go, and this doesnt sound like that. it doesnt sound like anythings grinding. but the car makes the noise even if i shut it off and coast. so i dont think its engine or tranny related although i could be wrong.

when i accelerate and it shakes, the stearing wheel shakes, the glove box shakes, and the shifter shakes.

this sucks cuz i had the car on ebay and almost had a buyer lined up. but i cant sell it the way it is. so i gotta get it fixed berfore i sell it.

if anyone has any ideas, please let me know

rim bent.. miss aligned front end even warped rotors can do this.. i'd check on those things first before you move into drive train debugging

Check your axles as well.

yeah dude make sure ur cv shafts are ok. My cv boots are totally fucked and I have not had time to fix them so it has just gotten worse and now when I drive I can hear the joints grinding very badly and my car shakes like a motherfucker, very bad and unstable at high speeds. As soon as I get my first check I am fixing that, not even worrying about repair, I am just getting whole new axles.

Could be an alignment prob. My civic did that the first day I had it. It felt like the front end was gonna start hopping. New tires and an alignment fixed that right up. Good luck pal.

could it still be rotors if doesnt shake when braking? cuz it only shakes when i accelerate. but not when stopping. and also, wouldnt a bent rim make the car shake all the time? even when coasting?

and for cv joints, i dont hear and clicking or anything when turning.

yes it could still be the rotors they might not shake under high braking but could still be warped enough to shake.. also think about miss ballanced wheels..

Also make sure your hub nuts are pinged and tight, and make sure your lug nuts are tight (although if the lug nuts were loose, i think the oppostie happens, shaking while coasting, fine under acceleration)
