Okay, I think my next mod should be some fuel tuning. I'm looking into one of those Super AFC's with vtec control but I've never used a fuel computer before, so how do I tune it?
Also, since I now live in Florida, I've learned that there is no emmission testing here So I guess it would be beneficial to do an OBD1 conversion, right? So, which ecu models are better for tuning? |

OBD1 ecu's are chipped much easier and cheaper than OBD2 ecu's, so yes it would be beneficial. You can get an OBD1 P28 ECU from the SOHC Vtec, and have it chipped to run your DOHC Vtec B16. As for the AFC tuning, have it tuned on a dyno to make sure its done right.

Luckily, I now live near a shop who allows use of their dyno for hourly fees. But I'm trying to gather info to learn "how" to tune it- I don't want it done for me, nor is anything done "for" me.
But a P28? What programs/chips are we talking here? Like skunk2 or similar, or hondata (I think they're pricey though?) |
