What do you mean by "move it back the other direction". Are you taling about taking off the needle stopper and moving the needle the other way.

if your painted the needels it is sticking to the resting pin down the bottom.. i had the same problem... on a hot day it would melt the paint a little and make it stick.. .. dont worry about it after a while it will come ok.. it just need some time to get hard..
