I didn?t want to whore 99coupes tread, so ill post here.
If I do a standalone (hondata, uberdat, ext) is there any way that I can get rid of one of my O2S? I?m under the impression that OB1 ecus are only equipped for 1 O2S, and I know with the harness it will just convert everything. The only reason I ask is because after doing the swap, and installing the catalytic converter, the O2S on the cat sticks straight down and is like 4 or 5 inches off the ground and I would love to get that thing out of there.

Why not just set it up so that you run both O2 sensors like you should.

On the D16y7 the cat is located on the header. The O2S plugged into that no problem. After swapping the b18b in my car I had to relocate the cat, so I said well the ex has the cat underneath, so I buy an EX cat and try and put it on so the O2S sticks up, unfortunately it doesn?t fit like that because of the fact that there is something directly above it. So I was forced to have the O2S sticking down, which in turn leaves it 4 or 5 inches off the ground. Now, what I could do is reweld a new bung somewhere on the cat, but that involves welding a new bung on the cat, if I have no other options that will have to do.

Why not get a high flow cat that's the correct length for your swap and exhaust, with the bung in the right place?

I can't get over the amount of stuff I got done after work yesterday.
I was having problems lining up my down pipes with the EX cat I "had". The heat shield on the cat was slightly bumping the base of the car and made it misalign just enough so the bolts didn?t line up. Quote:
Put that ish on there and my O2S was a bit snug, but I got it in. I was very happy. So now I have a high flow cat, and down pipes all welded and mounted. I still have a slight air leak were the aftermarket waste gate is supposed to go, but I have plenty of gasket making material, so that shouldn?t be a problem. My battery is also drained, but these are all problems that are easily fixed.
