I have a 7lb ACT flywheel in my GSR with a N1 crank pulley and I must say my car revs very quickly throughout the whole gear. Think of it this way. The less rotating mass, the more hp, and revvablity. My car has VERY good throttle response. I also have a stage 2 exedy clutch with a heavy duty ACT pressure plate. Very good setup. Now with your SI it isnt gonna matter if you have a stage 1 or 4, you have a hydualic clutch which can be slipped easier than a cable, it wont grab as bad as a cable transmission.

but in all, get the exedy clutch with flywheel. Good upgrade.
check out, clutchcityonline.com for good prices on clutch/flywheel combos.
The pedal pressure is still going to change a lot between a stage 1 and stage 4 clutch, as well as engagement harshness due to different discs.[/b]
True but not as bad as it would vs. a cable clutch. But I mean I have a stage 2 exedy with a heavy duty pressure plate, and engagement is smooth. I have driven cable clutches from engagement hell!

yeah i would get exedy, but i wouldnt get a super light flywheel. its weird driving a light weight flywheel, you have to rev like hell to keep you RPMs up and your always racing around with a superlight flywheel. remember this it revs up fast revs down fast.
if you havent driven a car with a aftermarket clutch and light weight flywheel, dont go to big. it will frustrate you alot when you first get it because your driving habits will have to change.
i drove a crx with stage one parts and it was very different from a stock system and was weird driving. just look around and see what its like driving then go from there[/b]
that is the most retarded thing i have ever heard, dont listen to a word of this. Get the lightweight flyhwheel.

um how was i owned, i was stating an opinion and offered my imput. i dont care if dude thinks what i said is dumb. i talked to alotof people who are not happy with there light weight flywheels and have told me. all i told kid was to check things out before he spends alot of money. im not buying a 7 pound flywheel because of the reasons i listed. so take it how you want, if he spends his money, gets something he doesnt like, its not my fault.
so really explain to me how i was owned because of my opinion.

how was my opinion wrong? thats not the brighest thing to say, and it was simple imput if hes never even driven a car with an amazing clutch flywheel set up, he might have trouble with it.

and all my imput is from people who have similar set ups. a freind of mine actually has the exedy set up hes talking about, and he says its different and he says he feels like hes racing around in his b16 hatch. so thats where i got that info from. i guess it all depends on the car your driving. he has a GSR with the same set up also and doesnt feels like hes racing around all the time. so i guess it all depends how the car feels with the set up

it really all depends on what kind of clutch you are driving on. a stock honda clutch vs an exedy street disk and heavy duty pressure plate isnt gonna have much difference. its still gonna be very streetable. yes it will have a heavier pedal feel but its not going to be that much harder to drive. if you decide to go and get a 6 puck disk n a full race setup, yea yur gonna loose more drivability

The "racing around" feeling has nothing to do with the setup. It has everything to do with your friend being into the throttle all the time. It's 100% possible to drive 100% normally no matter what your clutch and flywheel setup is. A very harsh clutch will be harder to drive, but you can still drive it normally.
