Leaning the bike over is probably starving the motor of gas, not from a fuel pickup, but in the carbs. It's not like a fuel injector spraying consistantly, the gas moves around a lot in there.

im thinking around the same lines but not so much fuel starvation but more along the lines of too much fuel. i asked my pops, car mechanic of 25yrs +, and he said its one of the two but sounds more like too much fuel than too little
