I took out the center console in an attempt to see what was wrong with my cd player. When I put everything back together the car wouldn't start. It clicked on the right side of the dash when I tried to start it. I took out the glove compartment and discovered a main relay thing. I tried starting the car again and found that this was what was clicking. The car was fine before I removed the console and I didn't mess with any wires. Also the Drive is highlighted in the dash when I try and start it in park(It's automatic).please help, and if you know anything about why the cd player doesn't work I'd appreciate that too. It doesn't read cd's and is separate from the radio which works fine. But of course my main concern is the main relay thing or whatever is wrong.

if the car is in gear it wont start (the drive light) are you sure the car is in park? There is a maintaince feature it looks like a little key slot on the gear shifter that lets it to be placed in neutral with out the key in the ignition. If this has been effected the car wont start. look into that

The radio and air fans work but when I try and start the car the main relay on the far right side clicks for a little bit and then stops.

If the relay clicks loud Than that's a sign that it could be defective. I would start by replacing that relay. I also suggest going to a junkyard and trying to find a new CD player, more than likely it will be cheaper to get a new one than fix the old one..

yeah i had have to say replace the relay first, even though what your telling us is making absolutely no sense. As for the CD player, if the CD player isnt reading cd's its an internal problem. Time to buy another.

i talked to a guy who had the same probem with his integra. he took his dash out and the car wouldnt start.would start be for and not afterwards. i talked to a few people and they said to replace the interior wiring harness. it should be simpler to do that and it should fix the problem. it might be easier to just replace the relay, but if that got fried somehow or whatever. something else might be bad. i would just replace the whole thing. and for the cd player.. buy a new one. you can get a better one for like 150 bucks. thats what i would do atleast with both problems.

Thanks guys. I sent it one of my dad's friends and he replaced the relay. My dad covered it so I'm not sure how much the relay cost; labor was free. It works fine now. And about the cd player, fuck it. I'm getting a new one.
