[color=red] I need help in a swap i am doing. i have a 2000 civic ex and i have a 2000 b18c1 engine that ima put in it. My question is do i have to take the wire harness from the gsr or would my stock ones plug right into it? I have all the necessary things i need for the complete swap but is having troubles with the wiring stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yeah everything should just plug right up. I dont believe you have to do any wiring at all. Should be all plug and play because your going from a obd2 vtec engine to s obd2 vtec engine. Might have to wire up the thing for the IAB's though

Because.. to some people, swaping an engine is an "event"
Sorry I have nothing more worth while to contribute to this post.

you dont have to wire in the IAB which are secondary runners on the gsr motor, if you dont hook them up, all it will do is stay open all the time. Your going to use the wire harness from your 2000 ex some wires just need to be extended. also the plug for the crank angle sensor is a little different(3wire on the single cam and 2wire on the dual cam.) Your going to need an ecu to run the motor, your single cam wont run that motor.

dude wire up the IAB's cause they are meant to work with the motor, if they stay open all the time (which they wont) then it would kill your low end. But the IAB's are controlled by vaccum they are wired so the computer can possibly compensate for them???
