When I first starting looking for turbo pieces on ebay I was immediately told to stay away from SSautochrome because they were selling T3/T4 hybrids, but the T3 and T4's were backwards.

i would never use a turbo from ss autochrome...as for the manifolds, no manifold is totally warranteed against cracking. i dont care what anyone says the manifold turbo and downpipe should be braced. we just ahd to send a lovefab manifold back because it cracked, and everyone says they dont need to be braced.

theres some 240sx kids out there running the ssac manifolds. saying only the honda ones suck, but they still crack and get holes blown through the shitty welds. its amazing some people still buy they're crap.

i would def drive to ssac if i was that guy and get a refund or at least a new turbo. that blows.

Wow. That's fucked up. You get all the lag of the big turbo, but then only the boost of the small turbo. Stupid.

The way you brace the manifold matters quite a bit. If you put the braces in the wrong spot, you'll get stresses that can possible crack the manifold when the metal starts to expand. If the braces are made incorrectly, they could cause the manifold to crack when it wouldn't have without the braces in the first place.

The 240 crowd has had good luck as far as I've seen... but I still wouldn't buy anything from SSAC.

I can't beleive they use an epoxy? Is that normal? I would think turbos would be welded.

This is when it pays to spend extra money and get quality parts.
