Like everyone says, stay away from "sleeves" if you're going to be driving the car on a daily basis. I had Skunk 2's in my Civic and I hated it, so I changed them out for some springs.

Coilovers in general aren't my fav regardless of how well they worked for you guys. MINE SUCKED, then again i didnt pay top dollar. Hopefully anyone who DOES pay top dollar will have better luck than I did.

My friend has ground controls on his 2002 si and they make all kinds of noise too.. so Im gonna stick with springs. Goodluck w/ whatever you decide to get.

Coilovers and coilover springs are still different.

I wouldn't put coilover sleeves on my car...just a good spring. I've ridden in/driven cars with coilover sleeve setups, and I didn't like the ride at all. My spring/shock setup rides more comfortably and handles better...best of both worlds. If I had the money, I'd definitely go with a true coilover setup like Tein/JIC/etc....but most people don't need all that adjustability.

Doughboy- you don't have to pay top dollar to get a good coilover system.

http://www.omnipowerusa.com

They actually make some really good coilover systems, and you can even get the entire coilover setup (threaded shock body too!) and camber kit for $800-900. That's a steal for some quality products.

I think alot of it has to do with the fact that I live by San Francisco, and Work in San Francisco. The reasoning for that is because there are SO MANY potholes dips, speed bumps, manholes etc... The vibration just causes nothing but havoc to the suspension.

If I used them on a weekend car it might be a different story. Just not on my daily driver. (I mean HELL, I lost like 7 out of like 10 screws that hold the sleeve in place.) Thats alot of freakin screws. I couldnt overtighten because its an aluminum sleeve and I can easily screw up the thread.

Im gonna take it as that, and go ahead with my tokicos and let you guys all know how the ride is once its complete.
