seeing that you have the same car as I do, Im gonna go with "the apple doesnt fall far from the tree" you are probably having the same problem I HAD.

Go and get it decoded/ You ECU Cleared and reset. And it will be as good as new. They did it free for me at the shop when I brought mine in. Its really not a big task...

Do it when ya get the dough..

Personally, I would just remove the bags and go with a small wheel.
BUT, Seeing as ALL this happened when you were screwing with your stereo, There is a GOOD, real good, chance that you or your friend spliced/ cut the incorect wire.

I would go over ALL your wiring and ensure nothing is damaged on your yellow harnesses. Then make sure the connecter is secure in your SRS controller.(refer to manual for location, behind centre console somewhere)

The other thing is you may have a bad sensor which will disable your SRS.
I would also start to consider taking it to Honda for service. Might be expensive, but what is your car and life worth to you? It'll be worth it because you NEVER know what'll happen on the road!
Good luck.
