During the last race day, my civic started to lose power, and developed inconsistant spark miss. Finally it would crank, and almost start, but then stall out. Thought the cam belt might have jumped, but all markings are aligned properly. Once I set the engine to TDC, it would start and idle, but after shut-down, the problem would re-appear. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem, and was it the crank position sensor?

My friend had a similiar problem in his 96 dx. It turned out that his distributor took a dump, im not positive but you can check your spark timing with a timing light. There is a cam sensor in the distributor if im not mistaken
