So i rep[inned the ECU and it was cool. Started it up ran the timigng light with the ECU jump3ed at normal operation temp. And fixxed it. But them later on in the night i did it again and the lines are moving back and forth??? But the dizzy is tight... So tomm night i'm going to rip everythign apart one last time. Take the belt off ( i need to anyway because i didn't put the belt hold down washer in right"The one on the crank") And put everhting back right for one last time.

I thought it had to be on the #1 plug wire...if you took the signal from another plug wire, it wouldnt be firing at the correct time with the crankshaft.

maybe it has to be the #1 wire...check it again with the #1 wire. But if its moving back and forth, maybe the ECU is retarding and advancing the timing for some reason.

It's normal for the marks to jump a little bit.

yeah but were they moving from one extreme to another, mike make sure when you line the timing belt up that the cams line up with the UP Marks facing up, youll have to move one of the cams to get it right like that. Its difficult to explain.

Yeah i got i all fixxed. What i do is when lining up the cams to be up. you can stiock a 5mm pin thoughthe top of the holderingto the cam there i s a hole for it. This will keep the cams in a lock posision so you can run the belt. But i got everything right on yesterday.
