OK well i was driving the car to the store. (Remember even though i have the car i'm not driving only 2 miles a day to keep it warm while i'm waiting for the rest of my parts.) Anyway car was in secnd at 2.5k stepped on it 1/2 throttle when the car hit 3k it bucked really hard and the CEL came on. Went home jumped it and came up map. Cleared the code, Started the car and it didn't come back on?
First what would make the code come up?
Second Please don't say wiring as it all new and 100% solid.

If it's not the wiring, maybe the sensor is bad? If the MAP is throwing your ECU the wrong values, then your ECU is going to jump into the wrong section of the fuel/ignition map and make your car run like crap.

could only be two things, map sensor or wiring.

You drove it with no air filter? I don't think that would cause the problem, but that's not the greatest idea in the world. Sometimes the ECU will get a wacky signal from a sensor and automatically throw it into limp mode...happens from time to time. If it happens again, the only thing it could be is the sensor or wiring, as stated above.

yep wiring or sensor. Unless you have a major intake manifold leak somewhere and its not getting proper signal.

This really has nothing to do with the CEL but I'd put a filter on asap man.
