What is that for?
I called up autozone to price some new rear calipers. They told me it's about 65ish for each one, so 130 for both rear calipers/pistons. I thought that was pretty good considering that list had them for 180 something EACH. So hopefully I'll be getting new calipers off my next paycheck. w00t. But what confused me is that it'll be 55/each for the Core Charge unless I bring them my old calipers after I get them replaced. I don't get why I'd have to bring my old calipers back? Do they send those in to repair them so they can sell them? ![]() |

A lot of the parts that they sell are remanufactured parts and not brand new. They need to place a core charge on them to ensure that they will be getting more parts to remanufacture and sell again.

yup you buy remaned stuff, return your old broken one, and they reman that one and sell it to someone else.
