ok so i came to the conclusion that purchasing a act cltuch setup isnt worth it. im never gonna have that kinda power to need that kinda stuff. so heres where it gets difficult. i dont wanna put another stock clutch in. i kno im gonna hit up the track eventually and its just not gonna suffice. so my question is can i use clutch parts from a type r. or maybe even stuff from a gsr if they use better clutch parts. i have a 2001 teg ls, just incase u needed to know. any info would be great. thanks in advance too cuz u guys always hook me up with what i need to kno!!

Yes you can put in a Type R clutch, it holds a little more power than the LS.

get an upgraded pressure plate at least...its cheap...and it will give you more clamping over stock...personally i dont think its worth it to buy a stock when you can buy an action(my choice in clutches) for right around 285...

If you're going to drop $300 on a ITR clutch, just drop in the extra $50-80 and get an aftermarket clutch like the ACT HD/SS. You'll get a lot more holding power, not much increased pedal effort, and something that's still very easy to drive.

I ran 240whp/220lb/ft on my stock clutch for year before I felt any slipping at all.

if you can find me ACT organic clutch plate, hd press plate and bearings for 380-400 ill buy it but everything i found was damn near 550. seems like for the teg shit was a lil more expensive than just for a civic.
