fix a flat came free with my roadside kit...I never used it. I hope I never have to but a plug would be way better. Ive had 2 in the past year with no problems.

So what's so different about the inside of a Z rated tire as to say maybe an H rated or something that would cause them to say NOT to use it?

Z rated = more mph rating on the tire and usually Z rated is a smaller profile as well.

H rated has a lesser mph rating and little bigger profile usually.

I think H rated is up to 115mph, and Z rated is up to 150 or somewhere in that area

Nope.

S = up to 112mph
T = up to 118mph
H = up to 130mph
V = up to 149mph
Z = over 149mph
W = up to 168mph
Y = up to 186mph

Yes, I'm a dork and did all those ratings from memory. Here are the odd ones that you never see:

M = 81 mph
N = 87 mph Temporary Spare Tires
P = 93 mph
Q = 99 mph Studless & Studdable Winter Tires
R = 106 mph H.D. Light Truck Tires
U = 124 mph
