anyone running without a heat shield on their stock header?

I went to check my oil the other night and I couldn't tell where the hole was (yeah... I know, it sounds like a personal problem.)

Anyway, it seems to be 3 or 4 bolts. Is it alright to just take it off there?

Its only a couple of bolts...Its the header thats a pain in the ass. I think there is a total of like 18 bolts Including the bolts to the Converter..

About an hour - hour and a half job.

Yeah. I didn't think to take off the underbody plastic guard until I already had my filter in place when I put on my CAI.
