So I was careless yesterday and wasn't paying too close attention that I didn't have a lug nut on straight and impacted it on at an angle destroying the lug nut's threads and the threads of the wheel stud.
How can I go about replacing this wheel stud? Oh, and happy Easter ![]() |

After posting, I remembered seeing a DIY thread on this:
http://www.civicland.com/forums/inde...showtopic=3525 Will those directions hold true for the rear on a 1998 EX? And is there any way just to replace one stud rather than all four? Thanks once again. |

thats for the front, there should be a write up for the rears. If you busted a front one, then your gonna be in a world of hurt.

Passenger rear is where I goofed up. I looked in my Helms manual and it tells me how to Remove the Rear Hub unit, but for a disc brake setup, and not drums.

what you do is, take hammer and beat the face of the drum really hard once, it should free up the drum (make sure the ebrake is off) and remove the drum and then you will see the insides, take your hammer again and band out the stud, there should be a little access hole where you can take the whole stud out, put in a new one, pull the stud through with a lugnut, and put it all back together, and your done. its real simple.
