Does anyone have a decent write up on what it would take to relocate the battery to the trunk?

I have an optima yellow top that I had in my sunfire and I want to put it in the civic but it won't fit in the stock location so I was looking to put it in the spare tire well or at least in the trunk.. thanks, any help is greatly appreciated!

its not really that hard, get a battery box and mount it in your trunk. run a new power wire from engine to trunk with battery lead. connect new power wire to the old power wire in your engine bay. find a nice ground in your trunk put a lead on it. put battery in the box. connect negative lead, then pos. start car. that should work. i just typed all this really fast so hope it helps.

yep. you should probably put it on the passenger side and as low as possible. my bmw has it on the passenger which i guess helps balance the weight of the driver?

also, i think moroso makes a battery box that is sealed. i it saw at a racing products store a few months ago. it also came w/ a vent hose for the gases the battery emits.

For the Yellowtop you shouldn't have to, it's a sealed battery that doesnt' need venting. I don't have one.
