I have side airbags in my car and when a passenger leans towards the right, the side airbag light comes on to indicate that it has been deactivated as a precautionary messure. It usually goes off when the person moves. My problem started yesterday. The light goes on when there is no one in the seat and goes off when there is. I played around with it for 15 minutes last night. when i sat in the passenger seat, it went off. then i'd get out carefully, making sure not to touch or lean on the right side of the seat. the light went off but as soon as i shut the door it went back on. could it be the wiring or do you think it could be something else?
