so my check engine light came on yesterday in my EK SOHC civic.. the only thing i'm noticing is that when i'm sitting still it idles ...

so my check engine light came on yesterday in my EK SOHC civic.. the only thing i'm noticing is that when i'm sitting still it idles kinda rough.. anybody ran into this before and know what's wrong??

Really not sure, check your vacuum hoses.. fuel pump/filter... pcv... grounds... could really be anything.. you should get the code by shorting out the plug by the ecu.. watch for the cel flashes.. count em.. then look up what the ecu is reporting.

What year is your car? If it's OBD2a/b... check your gas cap.

disconnect your battery and then reconnect, this will reset the codes, something could have and just sparked the check light. if it comes back on then something is wrong.

Just jump the service connector and run the codes. Seach the site theres a write up somewere.

sweet thanx for all of your help everyone! really helped out alot as to what i need to do, i haven't gotten a chance to look at it tho cuz i'm at work right now but i'll update you on it when i find something out.. thanx again!

oh btw my car is a 99.. i already checked the gas cap and it's not that.
