alright.. this morning my driver side low is gone! Now i only had these bulbs for close to six months. The thing is I do alot of nightime and early morning driving therefore i use my lights alot.
I started cosidering HID's now that Ive been through practically every set of bulbs you can think of. I wanted to know if any of you have HID's and and might know of the life expansion of them? I found a set on ebay, a 120k Violet purple, with a 3yr warrenty for $280.. Not that bad considering the warranty.any insite on this.. Should I stick with halogens, or get with the 21st century? keep in mind I have TYC projectors, not the halo lamps. |

HID's are suppose to last almost forever. The bulbs cost quite a bit, I know we sell them for $200, just 1 bulb. But it a year and a half I we have never sold one and we are the largest Hyundai parts dealer in the New England area. If you keep blowing light eight you are touching the glass when installing or id look for a power surge coming from somwhere.

yea i know not to touch the bulbs at all and I didnt so the bulb is just cheap..screw the warranty too.
I'm going HID.. What would you suggest. I dont really want my car to be a cop magnet but I want a decent bright set. I was thinking 9k but i see they go pretty high now. BTW if I get the 12000k what would I have to do to my headlights? Ive heard of people having to use some sort of screen or, something of the sort to stop blinding people that much?!? |

The lower the k the brighter in a sense.
you can buy kits that just plug into your stock headlights.

yea i know what u mean, its hard to find cheap hid kits around most hitting up 300 plus. and with the lower the kelvin the brighter the light is true. the brightest hids are going to be like 3000k and they will wmight a goldish yellow hue with lights buring at 10000k and 12000k are like a blueish/violet hue. im thinking about getting a kit yself ill let u know if i find any cheaper prices. so far i like hid kits by McCulloch check em out....

Ive seen some for $215 that are blue, but I like the idea of a 3yr warranty.. Im just probably gonna grab anywhere from 9000k to 12000k If i can. Eitherway I think i would be emitting a hell of a beam through my projectors. With my bulbs i had my beam was just a bit shorter of most HID kits I was next to at lights. Im just wondering if 12000k is too much through a projector.. I dont wanna cook up my headlights! |
