well im still trying to track down this weird front end vibration im getting and i had my wheels off and my friend said that when i had my aftermarket rims put on they didnt put on "centering rings"... what the hell is that? and u think that could be affecting my car? i think what he meant was there is some ring around the hub that serves whatever purpose and maybe that would cause this weird shimming in my car? now, at WOT only, starting in like third gear my car wobbles real bad. tires balanced, suspension components appear to be ok...sigh.. i dunno im stumped, any input?

they are called hubcentric rings. this came up in a thread the other day.
