ive heard some bad things about engine balancing on this. Ive heard if you run both of them it fucks up the balance of the motor and puts excessive wear on your rod bearings. Is this true or just a myth? I mean i understand the concept but ive had both on for about 20k and not one hiccup.

You have less pulse damping with a light flywheel, but not by much. Ditching the OEM crank pulley is where you start running into problems. I ran tens of thousands of miles on my 7.5 pound flywheel, and the bearings came out looking new.

yes its true...not so much the flywhel like stated...but the n1 pulley due to its lack of dampening material is what will cause excessive harmonic vibrations which will wear bearings out faster.

I understand why it would cause more wear on your bearings but its an OEM Item off the N1 Civic Type R, have you ever known someone thats had problems with it? I mean I havent had a hiccup yet.

Oh the OEM CTR pulley? I thought you were saying N1 as a brand name or something. You'll be fine with any of the production OEM pulleys.
