you can correst minorly for low and high cam settings...but your ignition is still not switching....and its not the way its supposed to be. You should really spend the money on something esle...i mean how much is it for a vafc? like 300? spend the extra 50 and get hondata s200 installed for that price...granted then it has to be tuned but you were lookin at that anyway. we charge 295 for the hondata and 50 bucks to install it...then 150/hour to tune...i think its worth it for the added security youll have.

I've put some thought into it for the remainder of my day and upon thinking about all this I just decided to wait.
I intend on looking for a new commuter comes the 1st of the new year, possibly a hatch, or a 6th gen coupe. So I can finally put this in the garage ready to swap. If all goes well in my job search it should go as planned. But it makes sense, theres no point in spending $300 that can go towards my new motor. Its gonna suck to not be modding the civic for a while but its whats best, meanwhile i can learn to struggle with self control over my wallet. |

werd haha,
But now that the subject I've been debating which direction to go in. The 2 that strike me right now are doing LS/vtec or B20. Before I was concerned more with it being reliable, however now i made up my mind on buying a commuter and having this as a weekend car. Any suggestions? Boosting would also be in mind, But more than likely not right off the bat. I want to do all this 1 step at a time picking up all the info as i go along. any facts you you guys could give me would be awesome too, I know B20 swaps put more power down to the wheels but what are some pro's and cons between the two? Keep in mind, Time/ Money are not an issue at this point.. Not in a hurry guys. |

whenever i get to swap my civic, which won't be anytime soon, i'm planning to go with a B20 with a gsr tranny and then later boosting it. more torque, displacement, and it's different...most people don't even know what a B20 is and i think that's kinda cool.

Well, if you want to be able to smog it, don't go LSVTEC or CRVTEC.
