i just put on DC Sport 4-1 headers on my 97 civic ex and it smells like the exhaust is leaking from where the down pipe and the cat converter come together. is there anyway i can check to make sure that it's actually leaking and how would i go about fixing the problem, thanx.

to check, jack the car up and put your hand and/or ear near the connection. if you hear or feel anything such as hot air, then it's leaking there. most likely, you either forgot to put in the gasket or the gasket between the two parts is no good. i'll put my money on the gasket

I agree on the donut gasket between the header and cat.

yea the gasket is probally what is wrong, hell u dont really have to jack the car up just reach under there u will be able to tell.

and the header will be hot so dont just go and stick your hand on it... I know it goes without saying but it is better tell you than find out the hard way. lol
