I hear nothing but good things about Quaiffe. Problem is, I don't know if it's good for handling and straight line performance. What would the difference ...

look into obx it looks like an exact copy of the Quaife and you get lifetime warrenty with the obx unit too

its a helical LSD which means it can handle both.

I hear nothing except bad reviews on OBX products, has anyone here had an OBX LSD? Can you give me real life, personal testimonials?

well my point is is that I really don't wanna put an OBX product on my car with all these reviews... only for it to break and then go through dealing with customer support, taking it back off and shipping it in to get a new one. If I break an LSD, I wanna break one after I've had it on for a good amount of time.

My buddy david runs an OBX dif and the only and i repeat only prob we have had was getting the passenger side axle out. but we fixed that prob. The car has taken in exces of 600hp launches and over 180mph on the dyno. i think they hold up pretty damn well...dont believe everything you read on hondatech.

before this thread i would only of said quaife, but being what resistance said and the fact that he builds high hp motors he would know much more than myself. if hes says its a good product i would prolly believe him just cuz of his exp.

I don't even visit HT anymore, so I can't believe what I don't read.

Price Comparison time!

SPW INDUSTRIES JDM Civic Type-R Limited Slip Differential - $1290 + shipping.

Quaife LSD specifically for the 99-00 b16 Si - $995.00 + shipping

OBX LSD specifically for the 99-00 b16 Si - $375.00 + shipping

Is there a reason the OBX is 600 cheaper than the Quaife?
