I have a 92 civic dx. I am putting a 94 ex/si motor in it. thats a d16z6 sohc vtec. I was wondering what all I needed to have everything hooked up right and vtec running the correct way.

your gonna need the computer and you need to add wires for Vtec, cuz the only non-Vec EG thats pre-wired for Vtec is a Sol if I'm not mistaken. The only other problem that I can see is that your map sensor is mounted to the firewall and the map sensor on a 94 motor is mounted to the throttle body and that makes a difference in the wiring harness, because your wires are part of the body wiring harness and the 94 wires are part of the engine wiring harness. So I would install your oringinal wiring harness onto the new motor and run your vtec wires "neatly" and directly from the computer to the solenoid. Then tee off the Z6 throttle body where the map sensor was and run a vacumm hose to the firewall installed map sensor.
