Thumbs down

alrighty guys.. This coming weekend is the last runs for 05 in my area. Im heading out with a bunch of guys and being im running nitrous I wanna run a higher octane.

Right now im using 91 (which is really more like 89) in CA... What im wondering is about the mixture? What is the typical mixture? a quarter supreme, and quarter high octane to produce a half a tank....?

Ive never done this before. I was just gonna do this and check my sparkplugs after a run or two and see if im running to lean. Right now I have no problem being too rich or too lean, its perfect IMO... Just trying to take every precaution possible and ask questions before using this stuff.

Changing your mix won't make you run leaner or richer- just help you put off detonation for a bit longer. Just fill up on 91 octane and go with it.

haha whats sunoco? I live in CA... Very limited amount of fuel grades man. There is one 76 station in Redwood City a half hour from my house that sells it for $5/ gallon.. I think its 100 octane.

Im gonna fill one 5 gallon up with 91, and another with 100, should do the job for the weekend.

well if you mix 5 gal. 91 with 5gal. 100 your gunna be at about 95.5...id retard the base timing 1 degree...and run bkr7e's. motorcycle shops should have them. oh and run straight 100...id rather you be safe and run maybe a half less hp. than run the risk of detonation.
