how could it hurt? all it does is free up some rotational mass so your engine will turn faster, freeing up some hp and getting you into your powerband just that much quicker. You will have to be careful though, because it will drop the revs just as quickly as it'll gain them. Don't stall out.

ok not to start another argument...but...it does not add hp..dyno proven. however it does get you into your rpm band quicker.

Poor choice of explanation words on my part. It doesn't add hp, it gets you to your power band quicker. ah well.

sounds a lot like my friend that decided that the Honda Ridgeline looks too much like the Chevy Avalanche, so Honda must have been bought by GM, therefore he can't ever own one.

is your friend named Skipp?

The lighter the fly wheel the faster the motor turns up in RPM's but the faster the motor come down in RPM's. Does that make sense. Now talking about honda's that make there most power in the higher rpm's this is good because you are making the same amount of power faster than before, if not a little more. Your friend needs to stick with what he knows and it sounds like 327 chevy's.

See?? this is why i didn't want to shorten my signature. :P

I have a stock D15Z1 low emissions high mpg engine. i get average 37mpg, i got 40-45 when my O2 sensor still worked.

I'm swapping in a B18C1 from a 96 Acura Integra.

Either that, or i've been doing a little research into a K20A, which is a cheaper more powerful engine, but costs more because of the alterations you have to do to the engine compartment. It comes out of an Acura RSX.

Prolly go with the B18C1. Saving for that now.

well, from what i understand, the d series aren't the best for performance, but i do believe they make a turbo for it, and if you add that and some NOS, change out your pistons and cams to handle it, maybe swap on a vtec head and ecu, you should make a screamer.

ok so i just got my fly installed, i must say, i love it, accel is faster for sure. i dont feel anymore power, maybe a tiny bit, but i dont think so, its not what its designed for. shifting is the same, rpms dont really drop any faster, only thing that is different is when the clutch is engagin its a lil more work when ur feathering it, but thats cuz of the new act clutch.

all in all, i love my new fly
