hey I have been reading things on this site and you guys say that the aem CAI is worthless. I have a AEM cai and I thought I got better trottle response. Then again thats my frist intake and I dont have alot of experince with them. someone fill me in PLEASE.

not worthless... they do give a little better throttle response, but not much if any horsepower (true of any intake). It's doing its job.

I like it I am a big fan of AEM cai. I mean it makes sense to me on how the filter is outside of the engine bay

no one is hatin on the cai. some of the better ones do make good horsepower gains. for exampe the aem v2 and the comptech ice box are said to make small hp gains. ur gettin colder, denser air. also its not as restrictive. being that said it lets the engine bring in air easier. freeing up hp lost with more restrictive parts, when used with the proper filter, intake mani, throttle body, header, cat, and exhuast. these products are know to increase hp, ur not gonna get a ton. but u will free up a decent amount.
