<div align="right"></div>
I had no need to replace the lines. I just used replacement pads/rotors, from autozone. They work great though. No complaints from a cheap repair. |

My brakes are just as good as they were stock. I didn't downgrade, I got FACTORY replacements from autozone. I'm not fast, nor do I try to be. I drive near the speed limit and keep my eye out. No need for an expensive brake system on a stock car. Fact is, I had let the pads get down too low and needed new brakes ASAP. So I got what I could for as cheap as I could. It's not like I downgraded from stock to stock replacements.

i didnt say u downgraded, i said that i would never put autozone brake pads on my car. unless they start selling brembo, hawk, ebc, or a couple others. its just me. and if ur considering a supercharger, then i would consider better brakes.
My brakes are great for right now, in fact I had the fluid flushed and refilled yesterday. BUT... you're right, I should consider better brakes. Oh wait... alas, I am... www.fastbrakes.com 11.75" front rotors, 4pot calipers, hawk pads. 11.00" rear rotors, 2pot calipers, hawk pads. Braided steel lines, and the best fluid money can buy. It's just that right now I don't need them. |

To the original poster- it's very possible that your rotors are out of balance. It can happen, trust me- especially if you've resurfaced them a few times already. If the rotors are out of balance, they can cause the problem you're experiencing, and you'll have to buy new ones to fix the problem.
2000Si- I'm selling my complete FastBrakes setup if you're interested. 11.1 inches all around, Wilwoods up front, SS lines, master/booster/prop valve. |
How much and how many miles are on the pads/rotors?You're the person who turned me onto fastbrakes though... I'm interested. Might be a while before I can come up with enough money. |

I was thinking $800 for the whole FastBrakes brake setup, maybe $1000 for the whole package including the master/booster/prop valve. The setup has something like 3000 miles on it, but you're probably going to want to get the rotors resurfaced. The pads are fairly new.
