mine do it too, im actually thinking it can be a couple of things. cuz when my rotors were warped in my other car the pedal acutally vibrated a bit.
three things i think it can be.
1-rotors warped
2-wheels need to be re-balanced cuz of wear
3-need a front end alignment
<div align="right">

joe hit it right on the nose man. try getting the alighnment and/ or the rebalanceing the wheels those will be the cheapest to do. if it dosnt work buy new rotors and pads.
<div align="right"></div>

Hrm... My alignment at the honda dealer (which was for whatever reason cheaper than Hires...) was 114, replacing my pads and rotors cost me 90 total. 70 for the pads/rotors, 20 for the beer payoff to my friends for helping me.
<div align="right"></div>
hmm....dont know what kinda parts u used but for mine just the rotors for the front are over 100bucks, then like 40 for good pads, then ss lines are another like 120
<div align="right"></div>

I had no need to replace the lines. I just used replacement pads/rotors, from autozone. They work great though. No complaints from a cheap repair.

i dont believe in putting cheap brakes on ur car. thats like putting cheap tires on. just me tho. my lines dont need to be replaced either, im just doing it to get better pedal feel. again as for cheap brakes, id rather be slow and not hit the tree, then quick and total my car.

My brakes are just as good as they were stock. I didn't downgrade, I got FACTORY replacements from autozone. I'm not fast, nor do I try to be. I drive near the speed limit and keep my eye out. No need for an expensive brake system on a stock car. Fact is, I had let the pads get down too low and needed new brakes ASAP. So I got what I could for as cheap as I could. It's not like I downgraded from stock to stock replacements.

i didnt say u downgraded, i said that i would never put autozone brake pads on my car. unless they start selling brembo, hawk, ebc, or a couple others. its just me. and if ur considering a supercharger, then i would consider better brakes.

My brakes are great for right now, in fact I had the fluid flushed and refilled yesterday.

BUT... you're right, I should consider better brakes.

Oh wait... alas, I am...

www.fastbrakes.com

11.75" front rotors, 4pot calipers, hawk pads.
11.00" rear rotors, 2pot calipers, hawk pads.
Braided steel lines, and the best fluid money can buy.

It's just that right now I don't need them.

now thats a brake setup...i like the way ur thinking.

i was thinking about doing my brakes before winter, but they will suffice through the winter. now im thinking larger slotted front rotors with a better slotted disc in the back, ss lines from jr, and like u said, best fluid u can get. only downside is im sticking with 15inch wheels so i dont know how much bigger i can go up front. but now that im gettin some painting jobs, next one im gettin $1700 for, i should be able to afford the lot.

To the original poster- it's very possible that your rotors are out of balance. It can happen, trust me- especially if you've resurfaced them a few times already. If the rotors are out of balance, they can cause the problem you're experiencing, and you'll have to buy new ones to fix the problem.

2000Si- I'm selling my complete FastBrakes setup if you're interested. 11.1 inches all around, Wilwoods up front, SS lines, master/booster/prop valve.

How much and how many miles are on the pads/rotors?

You're the person who turned me onto fastbrakes though... I'm interested. Might be a while before I can come up with enough money.

I was thinking $800 for the whole FastBrakes brake setup, maybe $1000 for the whole package including the master/booster/prop valve. The setup has something like 3000 miles on it, but you're probably going to want to get the rotors resurfaced. The pads are fairly new.
