Can I see proof of this? How much power was lost in just switching the stock manifold out for the dc header? You are the absolute FIRST person to EVER ...

You are the absolute FIRST person to EVER mention anything like this about a DC sports header. I don't care about smog, I live in Indiana.

lol obviously you didnt read the article in import tuner...they were doing a test with one of their b16's and the put the dc header on there and lost 2hp all the way across the general power band...You are the only person i know of that thinks they actually makes power...among tuners and people that build hondas to be fast, DC is a joke...always has been...JDM ITR header...not the usdm ITR manifold is the best (stock) header that you can get...you want to make real power you put an ANR, RMF a Bisimoto or a pro fab header on there. I can dig up some proof for you if you want...but personally i think its pointless your going to use the dc regardless because i dont seriously think your going to spend the $1200 on an ANR or a RMF header...because you think your DC's are the shit...well think it all you want...but, and you dont have to take my word on it, They are a joke amongst the tuner world...I buy DC headers...to modify and make more power than they actually do outta the box....but thats what i know how to do...and most people dont wanna do it, because that would require the use of no exhaust. As would an ANR or a RMF. A Pro-Fab header Allows you to run an exhaust therefore doesnt make quite as much power as the previous...but it still does better than a dc...however your also gunna pay for one...they are 450-500 depending on where you find one. Now...dont take my word on it...its not like ive done any of this before...god i hate being questioned by noobs.

When did I say DC headers are "the shit"? lol Please don't place words in my mouth. I wasn't questioning you as in saying "I don't believe you, you fucking liar". I questioned you to provide some proof because I wanted to see what you meant. Oh, and no... I don't read Import Tuner.

btw... you're crazy if you spend 1200 on a header.

...and a whopping 2 hp decrease across the boards? You're making DC look bad for that small of a loss?

Please... it's not even worth mentioning. Nothing a supercharger can't take care of.

Edit: I don't have hp or 1/4 mile time goals. I just want extra UMPH and badass cornering abilities.

lol ok have fun...I would complain about a 2 hp loss if i spent 200 on a header that did absolutely nothing...your right a supercharger would take care of that 2 little hp...however you stick an ANR on there and se that supercharger come to life...it wont be 2hp at that point anymore.

I don't consider DC to be "the shit" but I have seen plenty of people gain a few hp out of their headers...not lose power.

hahaha 1200 for a header is just flat out rediculous. i don't care what kind of gains it makes.

I'd like to see the dyno sheet import tuner had. There's more than one variable on how an engine will perform. Either there's something wrong with that engine or they didn't take into account that the engine was hotter on the pull with the DC.

Something is fishy, but once again 2 hp loss... not that big of a deal, and I'm sure once more bolt ons are added it's more than made up for.

My setup will consist of a CAI, DC header, GSR cams/gears, gutted cat and a full RS*R catback. If gains aren't made from that THEN i'll get pissed.

Not saying you arent going to gain because other parts of that are going to make our gain power. Im saying that you can gain more power with a BETTER header than a DC. they are not the leading company in header design...they just make a cheap, halfway decent header. I wouldnt put one on my car, nor any persons car i have worked on...I would at least have them get a Pro-Fab that only costs about 400....or i get them for a bout 250.
